It cannot be that in Hogwarts legacy the temperature does not even reach 80. With this game the temperature reaches stable 97 and 98 (CPU). The shaders are being downloaded and although I know that this has nothing to do with it, it hurts me to have spent the money on a game that I can't play because otherwise my PC burns

It's crazy how loud my computer gets just sitting on the damn menu! Fans at 100% and temps getting dangerously high. Meanwhile in the bottom corner, building shaders X% and never finishes. Very frustrating and I really hope they address this soon or else I'm gonna request a refund.

sounds like the original on ps3 and ps4 jet engine
they just wanted it to be as realistic to the OG for pc !

I totally agree with you, you are more right than a saint. The temperatures are really high, it doesn't make sense for a game to have temperatures like that... How is it possible that the temperatures are high? I have a 97-98 and I am downloading the shadows... Risking my pc to explode (I have a good pc)

I'm pretty sure it's generating the optimal shaders for your particular setup, which is why thread usage jumps through the roof. Once I got in game, things returned to their normal range.

They do take awhile to generate, though...but imagine trying to create those on the fly...stutter city.

Yes that's how compiling shaders works, it makes your PC work hard while they are compiled. The game runs much smoother as a result, and frankly with the amount of people that don't understand this simple and common process, the developers should've put a warning screen or something that explains why this process is necessary and why you should not play the game while compiling.

That's why I'm going to wait for the shadows to download. I could assume some of that since it made a lot of sense, so I'll just see if when downloading the shadows it returns to a normal temperature, it's incredible what some shadows do xD

So is there an issue with the shader compilation or does anyone know whats causing the poor performance. I have a decent rig so i should be able to run this game if the game is optimized. I just got home and was looking to get this game for PC. But then saw the forums exploded with negative reviews.

When the shadows are completely downloaded I can tell you, meanwhile, don't buy anything. 48%
