FIX FOR THE SHADER CRASH!
So, i found a possible fix for the crash at the main menu when you download the shaders.

My PC has:
i9 13900K
RTX4080

I noticed that the game was crashing at the shaders download because of the temps of my CPU/GPU.
I checked the CPU temps with HWInfo64 during the download and they were rising up to 85-90C (usually it stays at around 60-70C while playing most of the games, even when i overclock my 13900K to 5.6Ghz). So i removed my overclock from my Graphics card in MSIAfterburner and then i went to the motherboard BIOS and removed all types of overclock except for the XMP settings for the RAM. Then i LOCKED the Core Clocks of my CPU at a low speed (like 3.6GHz) and turned off all the E-Cores on the CPU (you can do it only on the 12th&13th series Intel CPUs).
When i launched the game the Temps were stable at 50-55C while downloading the shaders and it didnt crash. The download took like 30mins (probably because you have your CPU at a low speed or the game is just bad). After the download i loaded back all my overclocks on the CPU & GPU and the game works fine. No crashed at all after 30mins of playtime.

Try this out.

I think its more likely to happen when you have a last gen CPUs, because even at default clock speed, when you launch a game or a program, the Clocks start to go up and they run hotter than most of the others CPUs (and they probably use AVX while downloading the shaders but im not sure).

If you dont know how to do it i'll try to explain here but it will be slightly different for everyone (because all the Motherboard BIOS are not the same and the settings could change names).

- So first you need to access the BIOS of your motherboard.
You have to press a certain key on your keyboard while the PC is restarting (usually in most of the Motherboards is the "DEL" key on your keyboard, in others it can be F12)

- When you are in the BIOS, check for an Advanced Mode section (usually you can press F2 or F4)

- Check for a section called Ai Tweaker (ASUS) or OC (MSI), MIT (Gigabyte) or something similar.

- Change the CPU Clock speed (or CPU Clock Ratio) to a lower speed (like 3.6, you have to put 36 because) and lock it by changing the CPU Ratio Mode (in ASUS you have to set Sync all Cores) (in MSI you have to set it to FIXED MODE)

- Save the settings and go back in Windows and download the shaders.

You just check a guide on the internet on how you can access the BIOS and change "stuff" on your CPU. You can probably just remove the overclock on your CPU and try without it if your temps were rising like mine.

PS: english is not my main language so sry for any error.

TLDR: My CPU temps were rising while downloading the shaders and keeps crashing the game. I removed all my overclock, locked my CPU Core Clock at a low speed (so the CPU would run at lower temps), downloaded the shaders and reloaded all my overclock. Game runs fine.

It's compiling the shaders, not downloading them. So it's likely that the rather intense shader compilation this game has discovered an instability in your overclock in that scenario.
Hi. PC:
13900K stock
2x16 GB DDR5 GSKILL 6800
Rtx 4090 Gigabyte Gaming
Aorus Elite Z790 AX
SSD KINGSTON 2TB
Seasonic 1300W PX ATX 3.0 PCIE 5.
win 11

Each new install of nvidia drivers, and launching Remnant 2 ( the same UE5 engine like Lords OTF ), then on first launch ,during shader compilating it throws OUT OF VIDEO MEMORY and it can BSOD.

Next launches are fine.Just on first launch of the game, during compiling shaders.

The same thing happened on game Lords of The Fallen. And next launches are fine.

But like i said it will bsod again if i install new drivers and launch game for first time.

Also found ,Wheas 19 logger warnings/entries in moment when shader was compiling. Nothing more

Here are entries:

That one WHEA 19:
Corrected Machine Check
Translation Lookaside Buffer Error

And that one: WHEA 19:

Corrected
Internal Parity Error

Also. I tested by Karhu Ram test no errors. Cinebench R23 passing. Games are stable. Prime95 Small FT stable no errors.

But should i rma cpu or ram?
