Key Binding question

Liking the game so far, but there is one major annoyance for me. I use my k/b direction keys instead of WASD for movement, however whenever I use the direction keys the weapons/items cross appears and changes the item to the bandage as it is top of the cross.
This means I can not possibly keep my weapon drawn. Anyone figure out a way to disable that weapon/item cross from popping up whenever using direction keys? This is game breaking because in a shootout when I move it selects my bandage..lol

n/m Looks like there is no fix for this yet as per another post.. darn it such a great looking game and then for dev's to hard code a common key that people use for movement...

I submitted a ticket for this and got the below response from Naughty Dog. I had already refunded the game before getting this response, so I can't verify how well it does or doesn't work.

Hi Gibbits,

We have a control scheme created just for arrow key players. If you go to Options > Controls > Customize Controls > Select Arrow Keys.

I just tried this method, and it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fix. It fixes the problem of arrow keys scrolling through weapons, but it makes it so you can't change ANY other controls. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous.

That really sucks! I'm glad I didn't repurchase the game after getting that e-mail from ND support. :(
