Then it suddenly accelerated. 2hrs in total.

Though iirc it was Detroit and Spider-Man who had quite long shader compilatio process which got optimized with patches a bit.

Good for you, it is still a crazy amount of time.
Honestly this is completely unacceptable and I can understand why people are not happy. I am going to still play and review the game based on the game but they deserve the negative reviews for releasing a game in this state.
They really should have put a message up on the menu about it though
