Keyboard mapping issue (Arrows)
Hi.
Like all games I play, I like using arrows keys to move. I can map them, but the arrows are used by default to open a menu to use health, bricks, gun, etc. If I remap the arrows keys, I can move, but it always opens the menu at the same time... Quite boring... Any idea?

start using WASD belive me i use to be a arrow guy also but When ARK came out i had to use WASD and after a few months i got used to it i would never go back now .

BAack in the day the arrow keys was what you used like duke nukem etc

i understand where you are coming from but its time

If you go into controls menu then you can chose 'custom' and go down and change your keys to what ever you want even Arrow keys to move your character.

I submitted a ticket for this and got the below response from Naughty Dog. I had already refunded the game before getting this response, but someone who tried this option stated that while it does stop the weapon/item cross from appearing, you can't change any of the other keybinds. So, if you're okay with whatever keybinds are set by default in this premade profile, then you're okay. Otherwise, there's no other way to remove the arrow keys from the weapon/item cross.

Hi Gibbits,

We have a control scheme created just for arrow key players. If you go to Options > Controls > Customize Controls > Select Arrow Keys.

Yes, but I have the weapon/item cross opening if I do this. You move, and it selects things in the menu while moving. I opened a ticket and they say what is written above. Problem : the "arrows" preset is locking any remapping. So it is useless...

Same here. Hard to believe that this kinda stuff is still going on. Why would they offer an Arrow Keys option and lock the rest of the keys???

I have this issue as well. I use an orbweaver left handed controller and have my movement maped to arrow keys which are moving around the menus as a move.

Same problem!

Why are they bringing this game to the PC, if they are unable to offer a real keyboard function?

They could ask the guys from days gone, who did a nice job!

Exactly what I thought, the "arrows" preset is useless if after choosig that you cannot remap anything :steamfacepalm:

Just checked, latest patch does not fix. I tried messing with the options of the menu for selecting from the 4 choices (weapons and items) and that didn't help at all.

The "arrows" preset is useless if after choosig that you cannot remap anything. We should be able to copy it to customizable control 1,2 or 3 and then edit it.
I search for the config file to manually edit it but can t find it yet
