Why the bad reviews?

Runs and looks better for me compared to PS5 version. flipping between monitor sources, the PS5 version looks like it's running muddy below/around 1440p on framerate mode compared to PC running 4k ultra at 60fps on last gen card.

Because people can't even start the game? :D
For some reason I'm stuck on the loader screen looking at floating pollen for about 20 min and the loader is not even half way.

well, it's also down to how well you maintain your pc

most people don't maintain their pcs and just expect everything to work

I have no idea how people are hating on this when it runs extremely well on a decently specced PC, and yet Dead Space Remake runs like total garbage and yet it has almost universally positive feedback

I waited for 2,5 hours for the shaders to load. Now stuck on another loading screen. My PC is otherwise fine. I'm sure the game is too, but can't remember when I ever had to wait this much to start a game.

every new release is full of people complaining about optimization, performance, etc. with their 1 or 2 generation old systems. All the new games are going to be more and more demanding, so either lower the settings or buy new hardware. The game runs perfectly smooth on my 4090 and 7950x3d.
