Xbox controller joystick direction bug/problem?

I cannot go straight or forward. If you use the joystick in perfect straight/forward/left/right, the controller doesn't recognise any imput.

If you do the same process but moving just a little bit the direction of the joystick, then it detects imput.

It's not the controller since i tested it in other games, tests, etc.

Anyone else and any solution?

I can't even sprint using LB it works then doesn't so I die all the time, I've only just got passed the prologue with his daughter took 40 mins because even after shader comp fully loaded every death it took 5 mins to load it back up again

same here. I have xbox360 gamepad and my left joystick is not working properly in tlou. So I found my old beated by life xeox (xbox-like) controller and its working perfectly. The only problem is skuffed soft-touch plastic, ripped of pads on sticks and fiddely buttons... If anyone finds a solution without involvment of third-party stuff, let me know pls

Hi, I found an easier solution. As @dragownercze writes what works is to emulate a PS4 controller. With this app you can do that for free in a few minutes :-)

the Xbox controller is def bugged. just realised i had an old ps4 controller in storage, dug it out and absolutely no problems now. 3080, all settings high, i9 cpu dlss on balanced and im getting solid 70-80 fps, occasion dips into high 60s. although we will see what it is like when there's a lot of action on screen.

just throwing this out there, tried 4 controllers and adjusted steam settings for each one(xbox, ps4 anf ifyoo gamebad and my cheap ass logitec f310 is only one that works flawless, i dont get it lol but is what it is for now, hope this helps
