Sony fix the keyboard binding

I boght the game so I can finally play my favourite game on mouse and keyboard.

However whenever I try to rebind the key bindings for movement to arrow keys, it still uses arrow keys to cycle through the damn weapon and items menu. therefore I cant play on arrow keys like Iam usually used to for almost 40 years now.

Please fix this

nope it seems there is a hard bind for the arrow keys to control the weapon and items menu, it's freaking stupid they did not thought of that.

+1 having the same issue and weapon wheel bindings are locked. What a BS.
Game graphics are a blast though but right now unplayable for arrow key users like me.

Why do console game ports use hundreds of different buttons anyway?
Press "X" to pick up the greeting card, press "R" to open it (why not the same button once it is in my hand?) and "F" to read...

I don't understand either dude. It's every damn time, they screw us (arrow key pc users) over...

It doesn't help much, but Options > HUD > Weapon Cross set to "Off" does at least stop the weapon cross appearing with every step. You still get the clicks though. But it's still difficult in combat unless you stand still lol. Aim with the gun, hit 'em with a brick.

Go to love how they have almost every possible accessibility option covered except for being left handed. Like the OP said, we shelled out 50 quid to finally use a mouse and keyboard in this game. It would be nice if we actually could.

I've found the answer. It is a little obscure.

Options > Controls > Customise Controls

Don't rebind yet. At the top you have CONTROL SCHEME where it says CUSTOM SCHEME 1
click on the *left* arrow and scroll through the options. After the azerty, dvorak, esdf, you have ARROW KEYS ! You don't notice this at first because the instinct is to go right through CUSTOM SCHEME 2 and 3 etc.

However it seems that this configuration is actually locked. So you can't rebind to your own sprint, reload, jump keys (etc). *sigh*

Great just another thing I can look forward to if I can actually get past the prologue without the game crashing within one minute.

You're basically turning off the visual aid of the weapon/item cross, but its still there...you're hiding it only

I can't really imagine how they can have beta testing and no one tries out playing with arrow keys or customized controls. They did have beta testing, didn't they?

Bright side is that the binds arent actually 'hardcoded', it just means we cant see the binds in the menu. Hopefully someone figures out where the keybind file is and how to manually change it. I tried to have a look but no luck

Same issue here, had to switch to WASD. Make sure to write bug reports on naughty dogs website as per the pinned thread guys, this will hopefully then get more notice rather than being swept under the rug.

I've played it on PS4 with keyboard & mouse adapter. I haven't bought PC version yet, but the one reason I want it on PC is to use mouse & keyboard, I've used arrow keys for movement for 40 years! 'Effin hell naughty dog how did you mess this up so badly!
