Performance issues aside (which hopefully will get patched soon) are the load times decent on HDD? Or is SSD essential for this game?

Super smooth at 2K on medium to high settings after building shader run. Otherwise no problems so far. Great port!

I don't think that running it from HDD will be a problem.
There are no loadings per se, the game does one loading at start (which is CPU limited and likely will take the same time on either HDD or SSD) and then its just continuous streaming which shouldn't be a problem for an HDD.
