I have the same issue, I suspect its a proton issue

this game is ruuning on 1050ti at 30 fps or less on medium at 720p with new brand cpu like 12400f so dont even try run on old one like i7 gen 2/3/4/5/6/7 or on old crappy one gpu like r9 r7 gtx 1050ti/1060 at least some 1070ti/1080/ti and rtx and new rx from 5700 up

I think so, I currently play Red Dead Redemption 2 and Death Stranding with no problems. you will have to wait a few days before requesting a refund

The Radeon R9 280X was a performance-segment graphics card by AMD, launched on October 8th, 2013. .... Even though it supports DirectX 12, the feature level is only 11_1

You can try to fake the feature level by adding the following launch parameters:

VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr11 VKD3D_FEATURE_LEVEL=12_1 %command%

Btw what Mesa version? Aren't you by any chance on amdgpu-pro? Because when i tried amdgpu-pro, the same error appeared (6700 XT). However, it runs just fine on Mesa 23 open source driver.
