hey! im getting this too and i think it may be because im still downloading the shaders. you can check this in the main menu or if your in game just press esc.

Got my install on NVMe SSD, it happens also.
It may disappear after shader compile...

The Please Wait simulator.

Wait till the shaders are done being built and it will reduce a lot of it. I had same issue then waited till it was done and have very little and short wait time.
Errr shaders are all downloaded and getting the Please Wait screen … what the f?

I was running it on a NVMe SSD. I waited for shaders to be built and yes, I had the same issue as you describe.
I ended up redeeming my money after 30min of actual gameplay.

I'd like the ones reporting issues to report their amount of RAM and whether they're running off an HDD or SSD. From a personal speculation, HDD itself doesn't cause the issue, but 16gb and below ram amounts *do* cause it. That's a personal speculation though, as not many people do actually report their specs, so any reply is appreciated. Also please reply only if you already had shader building completed

I had this then realized the game somehow used more space than it was supposed to I free up more and runs fine now . Very strange bug

I have 24GB ram, i7 8700, 1TB NVME SSD and an RX 6700XT, anybody see a reason why I'm getting under 50fps on low settings and the please wait screens every 5 mins?

I'm on the same boat, hogwarts runs fine, fast loadings, re4 even better, this game took like an hour to build shaders and now every change of scenes I need to "pls wait" lol

If you are getting loading screens etc every little bit it's because you didn't let the shaders compile fully before you started to play. Lot of people are making this mistake.
