Question about Prequel Left Behind

If you played this on PS4 or something like that, can you tell me if should i play first Prequel left behind and then the main game or play the prequel when finnish the main game?
I pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition

It's quite difficult to say, depending how you like progression.

As the prequel surely shows som of Ellies past, it either contains a pretty intense level at the time when Joel is hurt badly and they hide in a mall with the horse.

So when you are at that point in the main game you may start to play and finish the prequel to know a bit more about Ellie's back story and what happened while Joel was hurt badly and afterwards just continue with the main game.

Right when you reach the winter section of the game save the game and play the DLC finish it and then play the rest of the main story.
