This game will run like trash.
Imagine needing a 2080ti just to match PS5 performance? Another Iron galaxy flop heading your way. Buy RE4 instead.

It's ported by the same team that ported uncharted so yeah it wouldn't surprise me if it was trash

A 2080Ti is still a great 1080p or 1440p card for 60+fps gaming but a 4080 is probably 60% faster in 1440p and 100% faster at 4k.

Maybe you're misreading what I'm saying..

You can download the DLSS 3 .dll from techpowerup, which in the properties show it as file and product version : 3.1.11.0, i.e it is DLSS 3.

The .dll came from the latest version of NVIDIA SDK which it needs to be in order to allow developers to implement DLSS 3 in new titles moving forward.

DLSS 3 is built upon DLSS 2 and shares the same features as DLSS 2 with added features for the RTX 40XX cards ( frame generation ) but that doesn't mean that the features that were present in DLSS 2 won't work for GPU's that support it ( RTX 20XX / 30XX series cards )

Let's just say for example that DLSS in TLOU is DLSS 3, Users of GPU's that supports DLSS 2 can still enable and use DLSS and take advantages of the features that DLSS 2 gives, but not the features of DLSS 3 ( frame gen ) which absolutely requires a 40XX card.

But it's not DLSS, they are using DLSS "Super Resolution" which is a subset of DLSS the technology package. The naming is just all jacked up imo. DLSS3 specifically means DLSS Super Resolution + Frame Gen + Boost capable.

DLSS is the toolset or APK, the tech built into those various versions are what give it its naming scheme or version number. Hogwarts Legacy is a DLSS3 enabled game, TLoU Part 1 is not, unless it has built in frame gen and boost.

So it's not DLSS3 with DLSS2 features, its just DLSS2. It's sort of like DirectX iterations. There were tons of various DX packages ans some games required certain updates. DX11 games do not support the feature set of DX12 games.

DLSS version numbers you see on DLSS Swapper or TechPowerUP are just version numbering to show they were released after the DLSS3 package was released. It's still just for the Super Sampling aspect of DLSS.

lol I mean this is the definition of arguing semantics but still, I think I have this one right. Where is an Nvidia engineer to tell me I'm right (or wrong for that matter). Stupid marketing naming schemes. We are both on the same page I just wish Nvidia had not been dumb.

2080ti is an very old Card,go buy a 4090 then all Games run fine. Since i bought my 4090 all runs perfekt.

2080Ti is still an extremely capable card, Far more capable than you'd think and DLSS 3 works on it but only with the DLSS 2 features.

so it isn't dlss 3 then is it? its dlss 2. if frame generation isn't an option then its not dlss 3

the .dll is DLSS 3, The 20XX/30XX series GPU's can use the DLSS 3 .dll minus frame gen.

Even an Nvidia Rep stated that DLSS 2 capable cards can use DLSS 3 minus frame generation.

:edit:
DLSS 3 consists of 3 technologies – DLSS Frame Generation, DLSS Super Resolution, and NVIDIA Reflex.

DLSS Frame Generation uses RTX 40 Series high-speed Optical Flow Accelerator to calculate the motion flow that is used for the AI network, then executes the network on 4th Generation Tensor Cores. Support for previous GPU architectures would require further innovation in optical flow and AI model optimization.

DLSS Super Resolution and NVIDIA Reflex will of course remain supported on prior generation hardware, so a broader set of customers will continue to benefit from new DLSS 3 integrations. We continue to train the AI model for DLSS Super Resolution and will provide updates for all RTX GPUs as our research

In uncharted 4 @4k (same engine as TLOU) a 2080 ti is 3 fps faster than a 6700xt.

A PS5's GPU is equal to a 5700xt. Not a 2080ti lmfao. Even the series X is equal to a 1080 ti. Why even speak when you have no idea what you're talking about?

Mine runs great even without any updates. 120+ FPS 3440x1440. So I hope its the same team.

DLSS 3.0 (frame generation) is the nvngx_dlssg.dll.

Wait, didn't you want to link your Steam account to your PS5?

Sorry for linking that low level bait here, but maybe someone still gives you an award for? :wellok:

I've played Uncharted on a 3080 12Gb and a 5700 XT 8GB, it played great on both systems but did have mouse issues. Didn't bother me though as I played with a DualSense.
SoldieR-Swag Mar 27, 2023 @ 2:19pm
Of course 2080 but there is DLSS so why are you mad about that ? its a Remake not a Remaster
JaredX7 Mar 27, 2023 @ 2:25pm
Doesn't the PS5 have similar graphics power as a Radeon 6600 or something? I know it's got RDNA2 HW.

People are just worried about the porting optimisation on PC, that's all.

don't know if they fixed anything but mine ran below 60 fps on a 3060 at 1080p on release

I can run stuff like cyberpunk 2077, dead space remake and resident evil 4 remake on high with no issues so something was definitely very wrong with that port.
