I just watched Season 1, Episode 1 a few hours ago. Just wanted to see what it was about. Won't be watching the rest of episodes until I've finished the full game first.

I did watch the show, and i regret it, i spoiled myself the story. Afaik the series is very close to the game story wise. Now all i can look forward to is the gameplay i guess. But i honestly got no idea if that is even worth it.

If i were you, i would play the game first and then watch the show. I really regret it that i watched the series first.

Do both together! Play the chapters of the game then watch the corresponding episode or vice versa . I'd recommend playing the game first then watching the episode on that part as the game did come first and is the best way to experience the story for the first time imo. This way you get to experience both together!

If you want to know which chapters of the game correspond to each episode of the show I'm happy to post that

Well.. i guess you can, but you will enjoy the game more. I get peoples standards of acting went down, but Ellie is gonna be much better in the game (acting-wise) and overal it will have more action. I get that Joel from the show aint terminator, but he could have killed at least few guys in each episode and the show also lacked pretty hard the infected. The show felt kinda rushed, had many skips, much less action and some things were completly changed mostly to the point it was kinda boring.

So yes you can. After watching the show the game will also fill up the empty spaces from the show and also show u overal what really happened in the changed scenes.

I found the tv show rather boring. It started well but get offtracked pretty quickly with not enough time dedicated to Joel and Ellie. There were too many flashbacks to my taste and the finale was pretty much underwhelming. For all the hype it's pretty forgettable series.

The story of the game is mostly the same though. The only difference is the game adds a lot of action in between so it's much more bearable. Still think that story-wise it's kinda overrated (and it ends with cliffhanger - you will need to play part 2) but the gameplay is good.

I think those are different experiences.
Played the game years ago, and the show was more of a fresh look on the story.

The game is a lot different gameplay wise than the show action wise.

Enjoy the game. Miles better than the TV show.

Nope, don't waste your time on that show, it will also spoil a lot of things for u

The difference between the show and the game is there are only places where they change things up a little bit on how something is, example how someone dies but it still the same way or they pure in more work to the lore and explained things that the game doesn't have.

There's more infected in the game than the show lol in which case i only remember probably a few moments infected showed up on screen.

It will spoil the game, but it is a good show. More of the game is driven by getting the characters into interactions with NPC's and zombies and how to navigate those situations, but the story is the same.

It's a great show. But I would play the game first since the TV Show will spoil everything in the game. To me, the game is the best way to experience the story.

Great show - but it was for normies they want to convert to gamers.
You get to play it in (checks notes) 27hrs.

I never saw the show yet however I did play and complete the game though. I would play and complete the game first than go watch the show. It's like with any TV show is based off of a game that it is better to play the game first and then watch the show afterwards.
