Digital deluxe content mandatory?

Hello. I want to upgrade to the Digital deluxe edition just to get "Left behind" but I wonder if the additional features are mandatory. Say, I want to play in a raw way, with no more pieces or abilities that are not par of the core game. Do anyone knows how it works and if I buy the DDE I'll have them instantly unlocked? Thanks in advance.

Left Behind is included in the regular edition. You don't need the Deluxe Edition. :)

The wording is confusing since they added the store page for the deluxe but you get the left behind DLC no matter what version you buy.

Deluxe just has a few bonus skins and some early ingame unlocks, Not worth the asking price personally.

Yeah, for me, paying for early unlocks makes me feel that I am paying for removing some features from the game.

I think @OneShotOneAssist felt the same.

Yeah, I don't really care for all that, I don't mind the skins and visual filters etc, But early unlocks of faster crafting just removes some of the challenge of playing.

I can always complete it, unlock all the bonus stuff and mess around on a second playthrough.

if you want early unlocks and some weapons skins then go for it, i only got it because it was only $15 more

Yeah, I was confused with the wording as well. Can't find anything that says the Left Behind comes with the standard game

Yeah,scrolling down I found it kinda hidden in the store description, but then I saw the store page for the Digital Deluxe saying it included Left Behind, then I thought It was some sort of marketing problem or whatever. But yeah, I can confirm the base game includes Left Behind.

Counting down the hours for the release :D

Yes, I see, under ABOUT THIS GAME after the pre-purchase stuff it says

"Includes the complete The Last of Us single-player story and celebrated prequel chapter, Left Behind, which explores the events that changed the lives of Ellie and her best friend Riley forever."

I ended up getting deluxe upgrade for the weapon skins, You don't have to enable the abilities :)

The Description of the Digital Deluxe, says it adds the DLC.
