any way to reduce the RAM usage? Capped at 60 frames and tried turning the settings down but still over 15GB usage

It's also side-apps you're running:
OBS studio, Micorosoft Messenger, FaceBook Messenger.
Each Chrome Tab is 1GB.
Chrome extensions (popup-blocker, translatiion agents, extensions cost too)

There are a few factors as mentioned with the above post, but the game being poorly optimised is also playing a big part

how much ram you got? 16 or 32 GB? on 32 GB the usage is normal. if cache is available it will use it. if you have this usage on 16 GB ram you gotta throw out some apps you don't need at playtime. run the game only. ez

got 16 ATM. was thinking of upgrading but to this day i could play all games no problem. Personally i think it wouldnt make sense to upgrade just for one game yk? I mean i can play the Game smoothly but sometimes it crashes and i cant really use other things like Discord while playing.. but i dont think this is because its badly optimised?

First time I played TLOU I only had 16GB. No crashes, no problems.
I upgraded to 32GB ram at the end of April.
Played TLOU again last month, there was no difference in FPS nor performance.
Playing at 4K ultra with either 16bg or 32gb made no difference for me.

Thing is, once i played like half an hour, my RAM usage goes down to 13 Gb usage. With medium Settings i can play on 60 with high settings only around 50
Playing on 1080p and got an RTX 3060 (12GB), Ryzen 5 3600

Well, stop using windows if you dont like that, because windows is eating half of that
Here is how it looks without that overhead on all ultras

Use Reduce Memory v1.6 from Sordum. Might help you out.

Is 8GB Ram system can run this game like Uncharted 4 now?
MooP Jun 13, 2023 @ 5:03pm
You want min 32GB of ram for "current-gen" games these days.
Windows takes a good chunk & then all your apps on-top of newer games using more ram.
It's a cheap & simple upgrade...

No, a min of 16Gb RAM, but optimally, 32Gb, and more so if your running the Devil's child, Winblows 11 ;) VRAM is much more important with this game, and again, 16Gb is the minimum I'd recommend for a trouble free experience :)

You should talk to Hogwarts Legacy users.
