BitDefender detects an infected file
The file D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Last of Us Part I\crs-client.dll is infected with Gen:Variant.Tedy.410907 and was moved to quarantine.

Looked up on google and didn't find anything about this

it's mosdef a false positive. ofc the crash reporter gotta use the internet to submit the data. there's just limited ways to code to upload this. so it looks like a data thief to the defender, but it's actually not. you should not worry to much, tbh. if defender keeps it in quarantine anyway you will just not be able to send automated reports, if it crashes. that's about it.

Add the game folder and the .exe to the exclusions. It won't flag it and you should be good to go.

its not 1998 anymore, Windows has built in defenders now, your ISP likely has some in place as well.

You guys are dumb. Bitdefender is 10x better than Windows Defender. And it REALLY matters what you're doing with the computer..

Never believe anyone who says you don't need antivirus. Defender will not catch everything that comes in. If Defender doesn't catch it and something does get in, how will you know!?

If you get an antivirus program, you may well get the shock of your life when you run your first scan. Also, if you have multiple drives, C:\ may appear unaffected, but, one of your others could be riddled. I had that happen on my Dad's PC.

A good paid program will have a game mode and won't slow you down. ESET is one I've heard good things about.

If a file does get flagged put it in Virustotal, if that says it's clean, it is!
