But I have to make with my hardware right now until I got better rigs, I've been thinking to buy console tho
I'm running Jedi Survivor in the same specification, it run pretty well
I don't know why this game have heavy requirement
this title is a port from the ps5. the cpu requiremenats are high because they ulitize every available resource on the ps5. they do the same on pc. survivor and unreal doesn't do that. but it requires 8 GB of vram to loook good. how does it look with 4 GB? must kinda bad. the ps5 has around 8-10 GB of VRAM available. they brought it down significantly already making it stream textures. 6 GB is the requirement to make look as intended, tho. it runs with 4 GB and lower quality too. just doesn't look as good.
If you’re getting a PS5 anyway, then yes you would get a better experience playing it there compared to your 1650 laptop (especially if you have a decent 4k TV(ideally 120Hz with VRR). But at the same time it looks fine on a 4GB GPU now, they did a lot of work and improvement to the game’s textures at low/medium. They looked like trash at first but look significantly better now. I have a desktop with a 3070 and have played the game on both my laptop and desktop as well as owning it on PS5. The difference between 4GB and 8GB (in performance and visual fidelity) is nowhere close to what it was when the game launched.
I've seen people in YouTube playing with 1650, and the get 40FPS for like medium setting
well... i have the same cpu in my laptop. it's capable of handling 60 fps in most parts on reduced cpu settings. the 1650 is way below the 3060 i have tho. it's gonna be busy for sure. fsr is required. and you'll have to lower the render resolution. maybe 900p works.
i reckon with moderate settings you could "easily" get balanced fsr at 30 fps stable out of it, without roasting the laptop. i will not vouche for the look and feel of it, tho. 30 fps run a lil choppy on my screen in 60 Hz. i mean... if it runs medium textures and keeps the pace without much texture swap glitches, i could call it playable. you be the judge.
either way... if you plan to buy a ps5 you should play the game on that, not the laptop. if you wanna compare it later you could buy both versions. the ps5 will deliver a better look tho. it's more powerful then your or even my laptop.
I can’t really answer if it’s “worth it” for you because I dunno if you prioritize graphics and visual fidelity over being able to play it sooner. I just wanted you to know if you looked at videos on YouTube covering the game in March/April and saw how bad low and medium presets looked, that the game currently doesn’t look like that anymore. $60 is a lot to spend on a game where you will have to make some compromises to enjoy, whereas on PS5 it would just look great and all you’d have to worry about is whether you want to play at 4k/30 or 1440p/60. I think you could get up to 900p/45 fps on low graphics (or 1080p/45 fps using FSR balanced) it’s your decision if you think that experience is worth the money. The game itself is really fun and enjoyable, don’t think you’d have any issue with the game itself as long as you understand it’s a linear, story-driven game with a mix of stealth and combat using guns and melee with a fair bit of crafting and scavenging. The world and character models are beautiful.
If you can give me some time, I will capture some screenshots of the game for you on my laptop and upload them to Imgur and post them in the thread when I get home later today to give you an idea of how it looks using Low preset on a 4GB GPU.
I cant recomend you play this title with a 1650... just if u want to play it around 30 fps.
that's not really comparable with the 4600H. that's a 6c/12t. significant difference. the game is pretty cpu intensive.
The thing is, I don't know if PS5 worth to play with my 1080p monitor
You’d still get a pretty good experience with the PS5 on a 1080p 60 monitor, just make sure you play all games on performance mode, so that you aren’t wasting the console’s power rendering it a higher than necessary output. Even though the PS5 advertises itself as a 4K console, many games render at 720p-1200p (especially in performance/60fps mode) and use FSR or TAA to upsample the image to output at 4k. It obviously varies greatly from game to game with first party Sony developers being the best example of being able to do a true 4K, but of course limited to 30fps. Ideally you would want a 4K screen but I have a friend who plays on a 27 inch 1080p monitor and seems happy with it. It would be ideal if putting the console in 1080p output allowed it to work like a PC and could use the rendering budget to give you more FPS, but instead it will render at whatever mode it does normally and just down sample that to a 1080p out. I’ll have the screenshots up in a few hours.
