No trolling, its a very linear game thats dont even look visually that impressive for justifying these kind of requeriments, even at 4k
People like you don't understand how stressful 4k is. Not to mention not even the 4090 can natively render at 4k at max settings without help from DLSS.
inb4 "yes it can lol" no it can't. LTT did a video on it and it barely ran Doom Eternal at 4k/60 native which is one of the most optimized games in existence.
Battlefield 2042 is horrific in terms of optimisation but my lowly 2080ti can still handle 4k on it.
Either naughtydog overestimated the specs or it's horribly optimised and they're using the higher spec to compensate for it.
Or it just looks better than a ♥♥♥♥ tier FPS game.
That doesn't excuse the excruciatingly high requirements..
No way they are serious about a 4080 being "recommended" for ultra, The only way they would be serious about that requirement is that the optimisation is so poor that they need to overcompensate with massively powerful hardware to compensate for it.
Think about it, If it's "optimised", Then the requirements wouldn't be so beefy.
If it's poorly optimised then ofc they would advise higher end hardware that would offset the performance impact of the poor optimisation.
In any case, I'll be cranking to 4K ultra regardless and see what I get from that and then scale some settings down to find a nice balance between performance and fidelity.
GPU prob just chill at 50% usage like every other AAA game. For reference, miles morales completely maxed with full RT'ing, it still sits at 60% usage.
3080 requirements: lmao, last decade graphics/moneygrab
People mad they don't own bleeding edge.
Haha, no
Good luck with that garbage
240hz? I hope you don't mean you want to play this game at 240fps because even if you had a ryzen 7950x, you still won't push those frames with that rather anemic GPU in this game. If 60fps 1080p medium/high is your goal then yeah you should be fine.
