Joel in TV series and game diference ?

Why is joel in game white and in TV series is a black latino ?

Mexicans are good actors but Pedro Pascal i don t know he is not good cast for Joel they should cast some other Mexican actor.

Pascal would be better in role of Tommy brother of Joel.

Personally, I think Pedro makes a very convincing Joel, but it's probably less to do with great casting than Pedro's skill as an actor.

Tess and Ellie on the other hand, don't really make me feel like I'm seeing the characters from the game. Don't get me wrong, they both turn in phenomenal performances, but they just don't convince me I'm seeing Tess and Ellie.

Bait thread. But I still have to state for some of you serious. Unlike with Tolkien, Witcher and other universes or historic drama, changing the origin with Joel doesn't mean anything. Pedro is a great actor, phenomenal even. I believe he is an excellent cast.

And the series do not depict historic person, like the court of England or Slavic gods or something but modern day, so it is not immersion breaking.

TLOU will sell like gangbusters. The dramatization is going great.
- When a product is mainstream accepted: controversy is advertising.
- When a product is toxic : controversy is like cancellation.
This isn't 10 years ago. It's all good.
They're seething because people have already seen EPS1-2.. Pascal is crushing it.

If either the plot was weak or the execution was bad, there would be debate, BUT:
- the story is loved and not a secret
- pascal is oscar level acting.. not hallmark level.
- movie critics are saying the screen direction is surgical and effective.

Why does race matter? Pedro is doing a great job as Joel. Also Nico did a great job making me care about a character I knew was going to die right away. Also just saying this. There is nothing woke about any of this. Woke is stupid get over it! lol

It both a medium to tell a story. These are 2 adaptations of the same story.
