Meh, I'd say if it was a release on console sure, but PC gameplay is so much better due to mouse & keyboard (and customizable graphic settings), on consoles I miss more than I hit and having 120+ frames per second on the PC (and having a mouse) should REALLY heavily help me with it.
Yeah, well said, I will buy the game again though but only through key/serial sites, there's no way I am going to pay full price for this game AGAIN.. if it was a physical copy I might say ok but not for this digital crap. Don't care if the keys/serials are acquired illegally somehow, it's more than fair from my point of view with what they are doing.
Yeah, I am all for purchasing games to help a studio (though I bought Days Gone really cheap at a key/serial site because the owners of the developers have stated several times that Days Gone 2 won't be a thing, and definitely not for the near future). But if purchasing The Last of Us on Steam will help get part 2 on here, then I will have less qualms about buying it full price BUT there's nothing been said about part 2 also coming. And it is the far more controversial game so there are strong doubts if that game will ever come to the PC.
Yeah, and in my case it will either be 2k or 4k (depending on how well the game runs, I expect it to run decently). That is why I am so interested in buying it again because now I can actually see something in the near distance rather than it being a blob of pixels, at low framerates..
"lol u dumb lol" Because some people have norms & values? And love a game to death but can't justify buying it at full price AGAIN despite having already bought it, and it being more than 10 years old by now? All they did was spruce up the graphics (and not always to a good level, Tess per example looks horrible now and nothing compared to how she originally looked - the entire vision of what she was/how she looked has been DRAMATICALLY changed).
And not forced to buy anything? This game was the whole reason I bought consoles, it is one my most cherished games of all time but I fail miserably with controllers and I HATE it due to controllers (on consoles) but loved the aesthetics and story, that is why I am considering so hard to purchase it again and I would want to pay full price (even though it's not a physical game), despite hating it - if that means for TLoU2 coming to PC but that is very unlikely due to how controversial it is to the audience.
Most likely I will buy it via serial/key sites (don't care if it is an illegally obtained code).
The price tag would make far more sense if they offered both games with the overhauled textures. It was far more acceptable when mass effect released its full trilogy remaster for the same price they are wanting here. For a port to pc a decade later.
Normally I'd agree with this sentiment, But having played on PS3 already, I know exactly what's in store for me, how the game plays, the plot, the unlocks and such, So on this occasion I did end up pre-ordering.
Plus I'm awful at saving up, So chances are that I'd save up and suddenly find something else to spend it on lol.
I can tell you one thing for certain, If you like story driven games with twists and turns in the plot, you're likely going to enjoy this game whether you buy at launch or wait until the price drops.
It's subjective though, I loved tlou but on the ps3 it's let down by the 720p 30fps and the visuals aren't the best, but the storytelling kinda balances it out.
Indeed! If you have never played it then a pre-order MIGHT be warranted because it is a great game, and yeah, that is why I struggle so hard with making the decision to buy it because on the consoles it looks absolutely horrible and plays horrible (I miss half the time, or more, due to controllers feeling so gimmicky/sloppy and the low frame rates REALLY do not help as well).
