Does this mean if you buy it in Japan it's ONLY in Japanese? (voice / interface)
Or does it mean only customers in Japan have the OPTION of Japanese language support? (voice / interface)

No it'll be in English just like uncharted legacy of thieves
and you can also use the PS5 controller and control the are still
the same as the original PS3 and PS4

All it means is if you buy it in Japan, you can't have it in english voice acting or have english subtitles and U.I stuff. Goes for all languages if you wanted to change it.

Doesn't affect anyone else.

people that live in japan only get japanese pretty simple to understand. and also to warn people that moved to japan from lets say florida know its only going to be in japanese

Yeah, I really asked the question rhetorically more than anything. Couldn't believe they would lock the game to a single language just based on the country, seems so silly when the game was made in English to begin with.
