Japanese or English voices?

What language of voices will you play the game with?

Deffo english. The dubs look tolerable, and the personalities at least some kind of fun. Plus, wioth English being my only language I am fluent in, I indubitably will want to understand the dialogue without having to constantly look at the bottom of my screen for subtext. xD

I tend to play FROMSOFT games with the English Dub, because they tend to be pretty good.

The only exception to this was Sekiro - because I felt like playing a game set in a fantasy version of Feudal Japan in any language other than Japanese would be a lost opportunity.

I'll play this in English as well, but I might consider checking the Japanese voice acting.

I'll give em both a try, and I mean them speaking English as a space mercenary makes way more sense than Japanese in that sense, so I think its more down to personal preference or dub quality.

English for sure. I don't have a problem with Japanese and can even understand much of it. But the dubs in AC games has always been really good.

I watched gameplay demos from both japanese and english youtubers and ... I'm conflicted...
English Walter gave me a better vibe but Ribiconians felt less ridiculous in japanese. I can understand both japanese & english so no issue for me here.
I don't know when it started but i have this feeling i can't part with yet :
Mech + japanese = gundam
Mech + eng = AC
I really don't know, maybe i'll try both.

I'll be using the English dub for practical reasons. Sometimes unexpected things come up in missions that weren't in the mission briefing. It's a good idea to have your handler speaking in your native tongue so you don't have to read subtitles while dodging missiles and rockets at the same time.

But it really is an unfortunate trade off because Japanese voice acting usually sounds better. I've heard it's because the Japanese entertainment industry, instead of isolating each actor in soundproof booths, puts all the actors of a scene together in the same room for the recording. This allows the actors to set their own atmosphere and play off each other, making it feel a lot more organic even when they overact. But I've never visited Japan, so don't quote me on that.

If it was past AC games, JP for sure. Why? Back then english dubs were of 'grab a homeless guy and hand him $10 to read some lines' quality. Today though that obviously isn't the case and going by some of what I've heard, the english dub is actually pretty good in this.

So... I'll try both and see. As someone who can understand both JP and EN, the deciding point will be the feel/atmosphere and how well acted the lines are.

I played all the old games in Undub if i could. Only FA in english.

I'm fine with both since the english dubs aren't laughable like in 2.

From what I understand, Japanese is like "Rai-ven kun~ Yadayo~ Iyada~" while English is like "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH" stuffs.

I'll play with English voices. Trying to read subtitles in the middle of a fast action fight just aint happening.
