We don't have arm-mount shield and left hand blade.
Can this be used in the base game without mods?
Nightreign was confirmed to be related to further Elden Ring content. Frankly, it should have been obvious, but there are people who live off the views from hype baiting and are gonna put out claims on things without knowing what they are talking about -and then people echo the assumptions and conjecture upon the internet as if it were confirmed as official fact and it creates confusion and disappointments when the claims that were bogus don't pan out.
When people noticed that BANDAI had put in the copyright claim on the name, they also had found a title logo and the font just was not presenting an AC vibe. I'm happy that there were careful streamers out there who did their due diligence to point out that it was far too early to confirm what Neightreign was going to be related to.
There is a lot of copium going around that FROM SOFTWARE may plan to release the parts from the short as official additions, granted that all 4 ACs presented had unique Head/Core/Arms/Legs and there were some unique weapons (right hand sword, left hand shield, etc)
However, we received insight, which you can dig up from the Armored Core reddit groups, that the writer was a fellow AC6 player. He originally wanted the short to be a story that would shed some light on the early days of a specific character. However, he was forced to alter the story to lack the direct plot connections and be more generalized for the sake of reaching a broader audience. They also forced the AC content to fit a shorter time frame than even he wanted -but had to operate within those restrictions.
So, clearly whoever did the animations tried to keep some aspects, but they were forced to not copy the exact designs of AC6 mechs, and had to blend in features from the other generations -which is why I've commented previously that the ACs look like they were thrown through generative AI. I suspected right that they were weirdly trying to not have to pay royalties or step on toes by using actual models or clear representations of the exact designs from AC6 (which makes the situation of several of the weapons weird).
Reality is, we probably are not going to see the Secret Level stuff in AC6 unless the modding community gets further into their degree of exploits (as to what we can do with AC6) and add it in. Otherwise, if FROM decides that there was enough hype and sales drummed up for AC6 caused by the SL short that they are willing to drop them into the game in an upcoming patch.
We know that there is a new steam package item coming for AC6. We are not entirely certain what the package is going to be.
We don't know yet if it'll be expansion DLC, parts, features, or just new extras to the lines of packaging extended OST stuff/artbook/interviews/etc. Heck, it could even be a DEMO version -because they never released a DEMO of the game, which could have helped ensure that players had the machine specs to run the game without issues and also could ensure that the players buying actually like what they experience in the first mission if not first chapter of the gameplay without needing to push money over the table to FROM only to request it back in refund hours to days later -which is something I've been starting to slightly hear complaints about from game devs as if it generates unnecessary costs in the back and forth if not for customer satisfaction issues when customers buy into a game, don't play it until the return window closes, then complain about either technical issues or their own opinions on things.
