Single player game
I've had this game in my account for over 2 weeks, I have attempted to launch it multiple times. I have received the same response each time.
"Unable to access server"

This is a single player game right? I know it has a multiplayer function but first and foremost it's singleplayer isn't it?

So why is it that whenever I try to launch the game, I cannot get past the splash page without getting that message?
And even if I do have to be connected to the internet to play it, I AM connected to the internet, so wth is going on here?

It has online multiplayer. I think thats an intel / eac issue. You can disable eac and start the game in offline mode by renaming the exe

...What? Why would I have to do that to play offline.

The game shares your online character with your offline character. The keep you always online so you can't cheat offline and then go online and mess with people.

Would it be so much harder for them to just set up a separate online and offline thing? Why should I be punished for wanting to play a single player game because it has an online multiplayer option?

To think I chose this over BG3, god what a mistake.

Its not what they do. Most recent fromsoft games are like this. The idea is that you unlock parts and build a mech that you get really good with. Then you can take it online and do battles with your super mech you played through the campaign with. Its kind of a community thing.

It says it has online drm on the steam page. Maybe you should watch out for that.

I did see that and it shouldn't have been a problem. EAC has run on my computer before and without any issue, but this game still doesn't let me past the splash page. Hell I have the game up right now, still can't get past the splash page, and EAC is running just fine
