PSA: DON'T FARM MISSIONS FOR MONEY

You don't need to farm missions for money, just go do the ones you need to S rank and you'll get more than enough credits to buy out the store before you finish the task. So, if you are short on cash, do missions you haven't ranked yet instead a certain mission that just pays well.

You can't visit the shop mid mission at a check point, but you can go to the assembly at a check point, so you can literally rebuild your mech and test different load outs as long as you already have the parts purchased

The mission rewards are so luxurious you don't need to replay missions for anything but missed battle logs. You can complete your full playthrough, NG+ and NG++, never touch mission replay, and you'll have enough money to buy almost everything.
They might as well have skipped money and just awarded the parts.

S-ranking early on can be frustrating without some late game equipment and without ng++ skill.
I think that a little bit farming early on and S ranking after unlocking all the gear is more time efficient and more fun.

PSA within the PSA: it is still possible to lose money on a sortie. Choose one with low returns, get thrashed while using up all your repair kits, and then nearly drain/fire all the ammo on your AC's four mounted projectile and missile weapons.

Best bet for losses is to choose weapons with the highest cost for ammunition. Maybe multiplied by amount of shots on that weapon, I dunno.

...I just know I mounted two Harris linear rifles and the VPM vertical plasma missile launchers when I found this out. Was the Eliminate "Cinder" Carla mission. I beat up Snail on principle before fighting Chatty and Carla, and somehow survived all three of them in one run.

If you have to go out of your way to get in debt then the game doesn't really have a debt system or punishment. In the old games if you picked OP weapons to breeze through a mission that didn't have good rewards you went in debt.

edit: Also you lost money if you lost the mission and had to start it from the beginning. Wish that was the case here too.

Yeah this was me more pointing out that deficits do exist. But given how we can replay missions for money I'm now finding myself missing the times picking high-cost weapons would result in deficits from going on sorties with 'em...

Early on you don't really need all that many weapons or have too many options to buy stuff so farming then isn't needed either. All you need to get for Balteus for example, are wave guns and some good shoulder weapons to punish.

As for people that say you get enough money by beating NG++ to buy out the shop, that's also false, I beat the game and barely had enough to buy all the body/inner parts as well as a few weapons. If you want to clear the shop you will need to farm.

And the idea is that if people will farm anyway, instead of doing one specific mission and wasting their time on that mission just to clear the shop, they can attempt to S rank missions(even just doing the easy/quick ones) as it will be more time efficient in 100%ing the game(if and when they chose to do that) and at the same time buy stuff out of the shop.

For the ones that don't care about S ranking the game, this post clearly doesn't pertain to you. Stop thinking everything needs to orbit around your gargantuan ass.

You didnt have enough money? lol skill issue. 3 playthroughs and my moneys through the roof, and i only replayed certain missions to get logs. not bc i needed money. If you're buying every part in game just bc u can, when you dont even need to use them, thats not our problem. We don't need S rank for money, nobody cares that much.

I guess that's what was their point, buying all the parts and I agree you don't need to farm, but you won't have money for all of them until NG++ no matter how good you are.
