Triple laser cannons
Are they any good? Feels to me like because you only get 1/3 as many shots as your ammo capacity, and the total damage is about 1800 if every shot hits... they shouldn't be that great compared to a stun needle cannon. Which I get about three times the shots with.

Also, they seem to charge up but with no noticeable effect...

They look good and if you manage to hit a staggered enemy you melt his ass, I love them

Triple laser cannons are a really niche option, but do have potential.

They are heavy, have a huge energy load, and very limited ammo. In PvP that wouldn't be as big of an issue since you won't likely run out of ammo before you die anyway - but in PvE that can be very difficult to manage.

They are really strong, though. Especially the charged shot - it will eat through your ammo incredibly fast, but it can be used as a follow-up move (ideally on a heavy tetrapod or tank build) to deal lots of finishing damage on a staggered enemy without having to get close.

Personally I prefer the shoulder mounted plasma cannons, but they are harder to hit moving enemies with - so you need to pair those with things like missile spam or some other zoning options so you can predict the movement of your opponents. The "regular" laser cannon on the shoulder is easier to hit with and more reliable than the plasma cannons, and has much more ammo than the triple one, so probably is a better general option.

The triple lasers definitely can charge up, but you need to fully charge them.

Check the advanced stats for weapons in general if you want to know their differences, especially the differences for weapons with a charge or secondary attack mode.

That generator is incredibly powerful with its 25% damage bonus to energy weapons. Giving it the low energy output is necessary make it balanced. You have to build your AC around that generator, but for an energy weapon build it is oh so worth it. As someone else mentioned, use ephemera core.

I personally use it on my spring chicken build, charge it up, stagger and unleash mega beam. Very effective. Sleeper, but i do agree its probably not meant for bipeds...I made it work though, with a decent showing in nest.

I saw some one use them to melt the boss of the wall before Rusty could even leave, to see if he had extra dialog.

OK so I realised that when I thought these were charged they were in fact still charging. The charged blast is pretty nice but of course the usual problem of enemies dodging everything kind of ruins it.
