Game kinda sucks in hindsight

Hard lock, stagger, lack of strafing outside of hard lock, projectile speed too low, input reading ai, EN is too low to use quick boost aggressively for mobility forcing you to save it to dodge heavy attacks, combat too easy, aerial combat way too reduced for anyone other than slow quadruped legs, no ranged options, melee unsatisfying because of the overheat mechanic, charge mechanic and forced firing stance outside of tank weapons ruining the flow of combat, reload too slow, overheat in general is annoying, too much downtime during combat, lack of build diversity and weapon options for certain playstyles.

It's pretty sad but it's only a game. I just don't think I will ever experience what I want out of armored core in my lifetime. For answer is too old, lacks compelling bosses, and is a bit too fast. AC5 is simply bad. The others are all too old.

I think I am just going to quit gaming altogether.

Only thing on this list I agree with is the lack of build diversity. Most hand weapons are at least usable but a ton of shoulder weapons are useless.

Don't know if it's just me, but I find most missiles are completely worthless against anything above an MT.

The game's dumbed down for souls-boys. The moment I heard about the features I unwishlisted, then when I saw the PVP it was the final nail in the coffin. All From Software at this point can do is take Dark Souls and cram it into the next game that they will churn out. When Sekiro was announced, given that From had Tenchu under their belt, some thought it maybe a Tenchu rebirth, they just crammed their system in there too. I might eye this down the line on a sale.

Missiles are great tho, like outside of the starter 4 one past chapter 1.

6-8-10 are viable everywhere, both close range and long range. And then you have plasma missiles which does AOE.

The vertical missiles are kinda wonky but the linear trajectory ones rock.

Gaming just continues to disappoint me over and over. I don't see why I should continue to put energy into the activity when I could get way more enjoyment out of sports. The ship kinda sailed in gaming. Everything is designed for tiktok brained zoomers who need constant hits of stimulation. That's beside the point of the thread though a little bit.

I think I'm just moving on to better activities. I wanted to believe AC6 would be the right game for me because it came out at a time in technological development when things were finally getting somewhere, but it's just a big disappointment and it's going to be several years until the next.

I wish gaming delivered what it should, but it doesn't. I feel kinda bad for people with physical disabilities because they are denied a truly satisfying experience on the same level as sports.
