Like the only characters that treat you really badly are Snail, Iguazu and Arquebus in general.
All other characters are nice or they just don't care about you.
Because the writing is bad.
Far from it.
This fellow seems a bit possessive calling it ALLMINE.
Maybe he's indeed Iguazu haha.
But I kind of agree, the true ending was kind of weird. What was the point of fighting Allmind when our objective was the same? There should have been some kind of shift where we were going to change Allminds objective which necessitated the face off.
The best part of the story is how I felt a connection with each character through each play through. But the true ending was the weakest IMO.
I like it. Let's call the boss that now. ALLMINE, you are MINE!
Hmm. Maybe that's what was going through Iguazu head when taking them over. He's actually a misunderstood character. But he did kind of rob us from a truely amazing final boss fight. But if ALLMINE is too weak to resist in the first place then just how strong can they be?
The problem is the player ends up getting shafted with "Here, have grudges and resentment instead". Which is already destiened to fail by default because no enemy in that mindset is going to be able to focus properly.
Compare that to the final boss in Sekiro. You only get to that level when in the right mindset.
The rest of the game makes sense if you know what makes people tick. If the ending just had more going in it, and maybe another mission where we have a bigger fight with Iguazu, then I think that would have gone better. Exchange the ideals. Have him talking about it more. If Rusty is in the "advanced" stage of that then Iguazu can be "starting to figure it out". Showing how he's coming back from being nothing.
I actually know what that's like first hand and it only made me stronger. I would have loved to have seen Iguazu overcome his grudges and resentment. At least enough to find answers to his questions.
