Maybe AC4 and AC4A are connected too but im not sure. Havent played the xb360/ps3 era games yet.
Closest thing you could get is there's an ending in Armored Core 4's expansion, for Answer, that explicitly states that humanity was able to leave Earth via space travel. The very fine details of for Answer imply that there's a conspiracy by the Pax Economica (Corporations) to covertly disable a defense system that prevents any attempt at space travel.
And by fine details I mean that it looks as if the companies are trying to prevent space travel and the character of Ostdarva/Maximilian Thermadore (Not Char) is presented as a kind of plant where the corporations clearly have a change of heart they don't want anyone to know about and Ostdarva takes on an alias to manipulate things indirectly so as to make that happen in one of the endings/routes.
Plot wise, I can't say that this game is the direct continuation of that, but that was a series of games Miyazaki directed and 4 and for Answer are directly related at the very least. The plot of fA dealing specifically with space travel as an ending would slot neatly into the events of AC6 (I like that the acronym for the little subtitle is FOR).
But, I wouldn't go around saying that's official. I certainly wouldn't say it is, but, again, it slots pretty neatly.
or
B: Corporations or independent groups won a war and in their unified control of humanity expanded beyond our solar system.
depends on what game, what ending and what conclusions you draw.
AC3 is a retelling of the first game and all games up until Last Raven are somewhat connected.
AC4 is a new timeline and 4A is it's sequel.
AC5 and Verdict Day are also within their own timelines.
AC6 I believe is it's own thing too, I don't see any connection with the previous games.
I'm interested to know what they're gonna do with this game's title sequel since all the endings besides maybe the second one is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up lol
