Coral Generators rule of cool over functionality
Its been pretty unanimous that the coral generators are pretty bad overall despite their quirks and are only used for the cool booster and barrier effects. Is there anyway to make these viable cause compared to the bulky circulating-current generators that I mostly use?

Nah dude. Read the description.

The trick of the Coral Generators is that it's actually better to just fully deplete em, the recovery after depletion is faster than just waiting out the delay.

Just push your generator to the limit as much as possible, red-line the engine and you'll get rewarded for it if you do so smartly.

Also apparently the Coral Generators make Assault Armor stronger by a bit.

They are great to S rate missions, just boost past everything.

Coral gens work just fine if you take their quirks into account.

I use the coral generators exclusively now, while S ranking missions. They allow for infinite flight shenanigans.

By bad you mean best right? Run em dry and use 3/4ths of the tank all the way down again. Pairs up great with the gills booster for lots of qbs

Coral generators are designed for more aggressive playstyles. They refill very, very slowly when there is still EN left on the bar, but if you fully deplete it, they come back to full extremely quickly. This is assuming you have good EN Efficiency stat, of course.

Hence, why some players call these things "Redline" generators, since you are constantly redlining your EN meter.

coral gens are the best and they look cool.

Unanimous? According to who? They're great for EN weapons and more often than not I find myself maneuvering easier with them despite their long recharge rate. They're good generators for people who get into the thick of it. I'll forgive you because you like the Gouf but don't be disrespecting coral generators like this again!

thanks for the explanation guess I once again QBed face first into a rocket for this. I will try and experiment more to get a good enough EN efficiency as well as being more aggressive with to get the most out of the recharge as they are more useful for fighting than traversing long distances which that could be the only nitpick. (Also yes Gouf is a beast of MS especially the custom)

Coral generators are the norm in pvp.
They allow you to maneuver in ways you couldn't otherwise ie: infinite airtime.
If you use their quirks, they also have the strongest EN regen.
Here's a demo of how infinite airtime works:

Also, in that demo, the chunk I'm regenning is probably somewhere between 1.5x and 3x your entire EN reserve.

There are like 3 generators to use in the end game. Coral being 1 of them.
I'm disappointed in the lack of usable options. Plenty of generators most of them are trash. Coral is straight fire however.

End game wise those generators tend to be pretty big to support the best weapons though right? As well as a core part that gives the best EN efficiency?

We do need more parts in every category. Know something i miss? Multicore FCS parts, FCS that allows you to lock on your hand and shoulder non missile weapons independently to different targets. Would be amazing for missions with lots of MT. Its such a missed opportunity now that we have target assist which could be used to focus these special FCS to a single target.

Didnt previous games have ACs that can transform into a different form whether its for using heavier weapons or more mobility like Nine Ball?
