played for about 30 minutes. got to the helicopter. was pretty boring.. i liked elden ring, sekiro, etc

Are you talking about the first big helicopter? The game haven't really started until you met balteus, your equipments are limited af before it.

try progress until you encounter Balteus, early missions are all long tutorials.

if you're stuck on the helicopter: stagger the helicopter with your gun and missiles, then hit the helicopter with your melee weapon (assault boost helps close the gap)

charged attacks with melee weapons do more damage on staggered enemies

nope,dependent on melee, starter blade in particular do more damage with 2 normal swing than one charged swing on staggered enemy.

yeah, for sure. as others stated previously until you get to balteus it's pretty much tutorial stages to get the player into the gist of the game.

I just started too. I got frustrated the first few times and then looked around to see that the map had buildings so I tried using them as cover. It worked. The helicopter got closer without hitting me too much and I jumped at it from behind cover when it was close enough to launch blade attacks, shooting my missiles and gun as I fell, then boost-ran for cover again.
