the good news is that this issue isn't limited to AC6, as I understand it. Apparently it's an issue between Epic EasyAntiCheat and Microsoft W11 new security features. Hopefully Epic fixes their sh*t soon so that those of us on W11 can play games that require EAC
"Go to Windows settings. Go to Core Isolation. Turn off Local Security Authority protection AND Memory Integrity. Turning it all off might be a bitter pill to swallow, I know, but it fixed it for me. Let me know if it works then!"
"Hello folks. I'm the player nolaJeff mentioned who fixed the issue by turning off the Memory Integrity option. For now, this is the only known way to get the game running. This is due to Easy Anticheat requiring access to like the deepest cores of the system (so it can deal with cheat software that works on the same security-access level). However, one of my friends mentioned that Microsoft/Windows apparently is working on some changes so that software like Easy Anticheat can get access it requires granted BY the OS, thus making it obsolete to turn the Memory Integrity off. So, in short, Microsoft is working on it."
These are what I have found on those two games
ACVI has been incredibly unstable since Win11 updated to 24H2.
Win11 + 24H2 was in general unreliable. Good thing I still had an older ISO ....Reverted back to 22H2... alls good! 23H2 seems stable as well on other rig.
W11 23H2 isn't working for me and i'm unable to revert back to 22H2. any other suggestions?
Do they or does one of them help customers? Why is this still happening?
