Micro stutters (Solved)
So I played AC6 for about 70 hours no problems. But now I have micro stutters that seem to happen about every 5ish seconds. Essentially the game freezes for a very very small moment and continues. I have my frames capped at 120.

Been checking out do I have any odd performance issues with any other of my games and everything is fine from what I can tell. So whatever is going on it is only affecting AC6 out of my Steam games. Even games like Dragon's Dogma 2 which people bash for having poor optimization runs smooth 120 fps.

So I wonder what happened here. Did the latest AC6 update do something ? Or did my OS (W11) have an update that somehow effects this game ? Any ideas ? I know this is a very vague and hella hard thing to troubleshoot but might as well. Because I don't wanna play a stutter filled game and I love AC6.

PC gamer moment. Everything was fine until it was not.

EDIT: As it turns out it was Windows 11 issue (again). This is the 2nd time for me Windows 11 update has made my game(s) stutter (cpu thing I guess). They fixed it in another update so AC6 runs normally again.

If you are a gamer I recommend to stay away from W11. When OS update destroys your cpu performance (or whatever the problem is) I don't think you as the user of the OS can do much about that, other than waiting for Microsoft releasing an update (maybe) in timely manner.

Anything about poor FPS?

No. My fps itself was fine. Just every 5 second I had a split second freeze. But the frames themselves were 120 fps where I had capped the game.

As I was troubleshooting this I ran into a lot of advice that you should disable core 0 of your cpu in task manager for AC6.
Another popular advice for having poor fps for AC6 was to disable hyperthreading in bios.

I did not try any of those since I refuse to "enable / disable" things in bios or other hardware settings just for one game.

If Gpu is Nvidia, try the Studio version instead of Game ready version.
Could you try it with V-Synch on or off on the stutter issue?

I have no issues anymore, it was Windows update problem. The game runs normally again.
