This guy is by far the hardest thing I have fought in the Rubicon Inferno Mod and makes Allmind and Ayre look like chumps.

Imagine an HC that has WAY more health and it has a built in Balteus Pulse Shield and it also has a much bigger stagger bar for both the shield and himself. And when said shield is broken, he does not get staggered yet and you still gotta stagger him.

Really wish somebody would mod these NPCs to be playable. The HC is so cool.

Bro I'm telling you, not even the dakka Tonk you built can survive it. I literally had to go back to the garage and conjure up a hard counter to it and it was still difficult af due to his pulse cannons slowly eating away your health and him constantly chasing you to slap you into next week. Keep in mind as well that I never really go to the garage to make a counter build like, ever so that is already telling you how scary this mf was to fight. 😅

But I am also guessing that this encounter requires you to master the HC moveset if you want to kill it without hard counter builds.

It was absolutely fun tho ngl. The rubicon inferno mod is an absolute blast for the endgame AC pilot.

still got another trump card for these npcs, laser turrets, they won't care where they is and they'll barrage them from every direction :v

i'm really looking forward to this now once i'm back

also makes me wonder if it'll make another unusual weapon viable, e.g. chainsaw, it locks on enemy, so you could arguably counter lock his shield bash with charged saw, man, now i got these ideas grinding my brain, gotta stop before i made another wall of text -w-')

Keep in mind too that you do not have repair kits in this fight and he has about the same amount of HP as Ayre/Allmind (or even more idek).

I completely forgot about laser turrets tbh but they are very strong from what I recall when I used them in my merrygate build against Allmind. So they may be able to take him down as well.

I think I'll re attempt him with my usual 2 ACs and try my best to master fighting the HC in general. Good thing one is a lightweight and one is a heavy so good experience for both types of weight classes.

Funnily enough one is actually supposed to fight the in-mission one before the Boss Challenge one lol. All of the bosses in Boss Challenge are scattered throughout the mod’s various missions, along with some not currently in Boss Challenge

Nah. Those Weevil C-Weapons are harder to fight.
