These attempts to be anti-mod isn't good, it seems the japanese companies still don't get how PC gaming is supposed to work compared to consoles.
No idea. Only possible explanation is that they log modified data outside of the save data, maybe on their servers?
I'm wondering if it's regarding Capcom's current shift as well.
Though, Capcom has an incredibly good reason, due to that fiasco at that fighting game tourney where they forgot to disable the nude mods. lol
If you modded, then went online, that will cause the issue. I'm running cosmetic mods for the HUD, and I'm permanently offline as a safety. I'm running around 80 mods in Elden Ring, again, setting the launch option to offline only. No issues on either game. I know as soon as I launch online thought it's going to nuke my game lol.
If you wipe your save file and reinstall the game fresh, it MIGHT clear the warning. I highly recommend contacting Bandai Namco support first, to be sure.
It's an awful way to check for cheating because it gets many people banned that are not cheating because it is easily abused. But this is the most common way people get banned on any Fromsoft game.
