Pardon my English but WTF are these new laser cannons
Geezes, take a pair of these new back-mounted laser cannons with the Aorta generator and the poor tester AC melts in roughly three full salvos if and when they land. What's more they arm decently quickly even from a non-quad (RJ) AC and they can be fired continuously to boot. I shudder to imagine what's going on in PvP land.

On that note though time to compare this with the 'Sawa...

*aaaand after some further testing clearly the new machine guns paired with the new laser cannons contributed to how quickly the 60LCB's were melting the tester. Still they're pretty ridiculous.

The new handheld missile launcher is no joke too. It's funny because now the OG plasma missile launchers are absolute dogwater.

In regards to PvP, the old LCS model laser cannons still are putting out more damage over time, are much lighter so they fit into builds easier, have a faster charge attack to be able to make more use of it tactically, and still seem to be the more dominant option, though the new ones are pretty good for if you really want to get that bit more damage out if you weren't firing them nearly nonstop before and have the weight to spare.

Given the kiting builds in PvP it's pretty important to not go too overboard on the weight if you can help it just so you can catch up to them and melt their faces off.

The Pulse Missiles are really slapping imo.

Maybe in PvP; may have watched someone using the new AC, those new handheld launchers, and some old plasma missiles to play 'the floor is lava' on Strider while blasting Freebird, and I'm still amused by it.

...hear that? It's note-taking noises. May come down to playstyle preferences. Me, I just ran this comparison of the new cannons to the 'Sawas and the Oscillators in the testing area...y'know, in a non-combat scenario using some of the heaviest-hitting weapons like a wimp. Charged-wise they're not comparable, but in comparison charge faster than both options while being more front-loaded than the Oscillators. And while the 'Sawas have a (way) better fire rate that don't mean horse turds when they're also stupidly heavy.

they're still being done dirty, the 'Sawas...

Indeed. I audibly yelled WTF when I first charged and fired them lmfao

I felt like aight it's a bigger LCS. I like it more than shotgun and triple variants. But lord, almost double the load. Probably we will be able to see pvp verdict once we settle with rank fights first. Didn't see much new gears other than light tetra yesterday. Neither I want to bring them in ranked matches for testing.

Try kicking the opponent who charges those cannons. It will cancel the charging. And the charging time of the new laser cannon is pretty long. Thus take your time to do so.

If they notice and press the button they can get it charging up still even while they're mini staggered from the kick, but really I find that charging isn't the way to go with the new cannons anyway, rather just shoot the enemy when they go in for the kick instead.

my only takeaway from the new laser cannons is that they look sick as hell and unfold before battle, so now I don't have to use needles to get that "battle prep" fashion animation going
