Nothing yet.

No mention yet, but they said they will continue to support the game with patches, so that's good. Hopefully they made enough interest with sales that a DLC will come out.

Armored Core traditionally operates by Standalone Expansions. Thus the normal expectation would be there's a 6A coming given AC6 overperformed its sales targets.

Soulsbourne From DLC tends to involve adding areas to the Map, thus not disrupting the pre-existing map. I'm not really seeing how they could do an equivalent of that to Armored Core 6, so I would expect no DLC and 6A within a year or two.

I think Armored Core expansions model was more a thing of the time than tradition.

Back then there wasn't much of a way to release DLCs. Plus, with Armored Core Verdict Day being such a failure, I expect them to take the Souls model of DLCs.

I thought about this, but I think the old expansion equivalents were due to most of the older games being on systems that did not have ways to download updates. Maybe things will change with the times, that is my hope.

Past AC games got their DLC in the form of a new game (Armored Core 2 with Another Age for example), however that was a decade+ ago so how FROM will handle new content for AC will remain up in the air. If AC6 is going to get DLC, my guess is it will be a long time before we get it as we are still waiting on more info on the Elden Ring DLC and the rumored new game FROM was working on. For now, I am good with the patches we are getting to make the parts we already have more effective and balanced.

I'm much more interested in that potential new game than the Elden Ring DLC. That game turned into a snoozefest once you realize the only things worth doing are fighting Malenia, Maliketh, or the Gargoyles. Their studio is MUCH better at tighter, more focused games. Expanding to the open world wasn't a great idea.

To be fair, I'm much more interested in that potential new game than the Elden Ring DLC. That game turned into a snoozefest once you realize the only things worth doing are fighting Malenia, Maliketh, or the Gargoyles. Their studio is MUCH better at tighter, more focused games. Really? I thought they did a wonderful job with their first open world game. Sure, there are a lot of repeat bosses, but I also think the idea when making ER was indulgence. Add as much content as possible and I think overall they succeeded, specially with Tombs and Dungeon design.

I would rather they learn and improve on that idea, than abandon it.

You think the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 didn't have a way to download updates? And you think, "they should change with the times"? And what, start implementing microtransactions for colors?

From as a rule doesn't do traditional DLC they do Expansions and Armored Core narratives including 6 are tight enough they don't lend themselves to that, hence the standalone Expansion strategy.

Certainly, they could improve the idea, no harm in that. But their focused games are just SO GOOD, it's hard on a less focused open world when their tighter experiences are just so damn goated.

What a weak argument, FromSoft managed to find a great DLC model with their Souls games and Elden Ring.

There is not reason to jump to the conclusion they'll release colors as micro transactions.

True. Specially when they decide to hyper focus like with Sekiro.
If you're coping for a DLC, join in with the Elden Ring community also coping for a DLC

Except ER's DLC is already confirmed.
