That's going to be a spoiler for any new players browsing the forums.
EDIT: Since OP fixed their title, fixing my post right underneath it
Fair enough, changed the title. All though at this point i'm sure most people already know.
I know, but i'm taking a little pause so i can milk the single player as much as i can.
I think people tend to be a bit too negative because everything has to be constantly edgy and controversial.
Like i said, by FromSoft standards, the game is a solid 8/10. Gameplay is excellent, presentation is good (FromSoft were always known for their art direction more than their graphics so that it's running on an old engine wasn't a problem for me), campaign was of reasonable size despite the initial misgivings about the size of the missions (in the original AC missions were small because of the debt system. I think they could have afforded to expand on them since they took that out here but i'm not complaining. They weren't badly designed).
As for the stagger system, i didn't mind that either, all though it was a bit annoying at times to get staggered because of unavoidable chip damage. This game could definitely benefit from some balance improvements but i think mechanically it's a perfectly complete and well refined package.
Is it an earth shattering masterpiece? No, but then i don't get why people allow themselves to be influenced by hype so much. No game is perfect. Not even Dark Souls was perfect. Elden Ring certainly wasn't perfect. Doesn't mean those games can't be great and worth your money.
And speaking of Elden Ring. I played over a 1000 hours of that and the fact this ISN'T Souls isn't an irrelevant factor. I think FromSoft was smart in releasing this right after Elden Ring. If they had announced another Souls-like game i feel people would have given them a ton of crap and accuse them of being incapable of doing anything else. A lot of people actually did that with Elden Ring itself.
The game is made for controllers.
You might as well complain playing an FPS with keyboard and mouse is not "valid" because keyboard and mouse make shooters so much easier to play.
Of course, i don't see anything preventing someone from then complaining that using two hands instead of one is also "not" valid.
