Stargazer - Thoughts after full completion.
It feels empty now that I've completed this game. This world of giant robots, corporate espionage, a voice in my head constantly affirming me and calling me stud muffin, it all laid out just enough bread crumbs and threads for me to continue playing after first completion.

And now that I've completed every mission, every boss, I sit back and let that feeling of completing an enjoyable single player game sink in. An enjoyable experience throughout. Frustrating at times, but always enjoyable.

I could go achievement hunting. I could go S rank every mission. I could try my hand at speedrunning. I could even dip my toes into multiplayer.

But I won't. Cause I feel that will sully the experience and time I've had with this game already. The game world brought me in, and I really did enjoy my time here. But none of what I mentioned before doesn't really appeal to me. I had my journey and saw it to its completion. And I hope we get another one in the future.

It was good to come back to this franchise after such a long time.

Give it some time to soak in. We're also discussing lore and world in another thread to ride the high.

Well said, at some point I do want to play the game again from the beginning, on a completely new game. I’ll just need to back up save file, and disable cloud saves for that

You can just make another steam account and use family share instead of doing all that. Less risk of you messing up and accidentally getting your save file deleted.

You don’t need to disable cloud save to have a working save backups. I’ve done plenty of times in other games without problems. You just need to be careful what you are doing.

The idea, is to have my current save as the cloud save, as well as making a local copy, as a double backup.

That sounds like more of a pain than making a copy of the save folder to my desktop, and unchecking cloud saves in the options.
