AC6 has convinced me - speed is king
Speed is king, baybee.
Armor does not matter, health does not matter.
The only thing that matters is speed.

Now in every game I play, I'm gonna go lightweight speedy/sneaky thief/fast dex warrior.

Well, the main problem with lightweight builds is the small stagger bar. If you're staggered with a lightweight build you take a massive punishment for it. What I like is a medium build with between 330 and 350 speed and around 1700 stability, that's what worked best for me through my games in AC6.

I don't even dodge anymore. I've realised that I move my AC around like I pilot spaceships in other games, as I'm more trained in doing that. It work surprisingly well, I don't use the flash propulsion anymore. The choose of your engine + thruster combo is very important too.

I have realised that also on new game 3. Been rocking the Hal 826 except head. With the proper generator i can drain and then refill my energy almost instantly after draining it with a boost (ctrl) is what i am referring to. I watched that guys clip explaining Generators in ARMC 6 it was a game changer it gave me a new respect for generators, some times those positive blue numbers will work with you or may be against you. Knowledge is key

I notice that I actually get staggered less with LW build since you are so light and dodgy.
And yeah, if you can get medium build with 330-350 speed, that is the best of both world.

I can. :)

I can basically just move around the Ibis serie boss and dodge almost everything without dodging on purpose. What's surprising is, it's not much about my gear, as I've tested the filtercopter boss again, so with the starting gear. And I've destroyed it, I don't even used a repair kit despite having died a lot on this boss doing my first steps into the game. Now the filtercopter is a joke for me, mainly because I move way better than before. Movement is key in this game, maybe even more than speed. The way you move can make the difference between being hited or not.

Same with the Wallclimber mission, I used to take some shots in this mission. I've done it again for the S rank and ... I taken 0 hit, I've beaten the boss with my healthbar full, without refilling. Yep, for me, the way you move around is the key and it feel great when you understand how to do it.

Wow, power dude!
But yes, movement is key in this game. I feel that having speed will make the movement waaaay easier tho.

There's a reason why the wheelchair legs are so good, they have such high ground speed you can kind of just strafe and most of the "filler" attacks from enemies (bullets, missiles) will just completely miss. And when a big attack with better tracking comes out, a quick boost the other way is all you need.

In this game I find I use two ends of extremes of builds; Extreme speed or extreme tank; no in between and rare to go in between build.
The problem is; there is no fuel system to limit the player unlike ammo, melee is powerful because of this where you can keep slashing and dashing with little to no cost while having little to no weapons leave you vulnerable on tankier builds.

I agree. I have had fun playing a "medium build" but when it comes to missions it was really never viable for me. Light weight or hefty build was what helped me win. Medium build is like a sick ass gundam wing but in isn't viable for me. Then again i changed my spec and play style constantly to the environment of the missions :lunar2019coolpig:

Just done Balteus for my S ranks, not even trying and see how little he hited me. I'm sure I can 0 hit him if I tryhard. That's for all the times he killed me back then when I was weak. I haven't dodged once in the fight, just moving around him and pewpewing. :)

Thanks.

A little tip : I've trained with the test AC, it help a lot. I've done that hours long to test most weapons and AC parts. It dodge a lot of your shots, do charged attacks, fire missiles at you and so on. I was able to beat them one after another on one health bar, no repair, no refill, until all my ammos were depleted. Do it long enough and the training will make the difference during missions. ;)
REBirthTheEdge Sep 23, 2023 @ 9:12am
And the game just gives you the best LW builds right from the start, the Nach and the Fimeza.

Like even the Alba parts are downgrade compared to these two.

Man, remember when people say LW build sucks? Me member.
Though they might still suck in PvP, who knows?
