Playing with the HUD disabled is a functionality very few players use, and as such it was sacrificed for this.
Yeah, they are scummy. Their video is trying to keep the reshade preset behind a paywall, for a mod that is normally free on GitHub.
Of all the new things From added they added photo mode lol I love it. Just wish I could do a replay mode with different camera angles like "down the barrel", over the shoulder, or just a drone cam.
That would be amazing.
I would just want a no HUD mode, though. There's so much feedback that occurs on the AC, from reload animations to the dust and char that builds up from taking damage that a no HUD or minimal HUD would be fantastic.
Also, imagine. Trying to play the immersion card. "It breaks my immersion to have a missile luck indicator on my military robot!"
Honestly the bigger issue is we can't recolor the hud. most of the time it is just fine. then you are fighting in white snow covered pavement with a white sky against a white hug and even when you are doing just fine, it feels awkward.
Great!! I’ll check that out!
EDIT: It works brilliantly, thanks for pointing that out to me!
I’m one of the people that beat Elden Ring’s randomizer mod that forced all enemies and bosses to be Malenia. I even did it with all 165 bosses and doubled the spawns on journey 8. I’m not averse to hiding a HUD :)
One major one is that in the garage when inspecting gear you can hit help and select contextual help to see exactly what each icon and stat on a weapon does. Even some youtubers don't realize this, one even went through a whole process attempting to decipher what the fire mode icons actually meant on a guide.
