A franchise classic that IS missing is back chainguns, but considering the tears over handheld gatling not being garbage in a fanbase with a fetish for machineguns shaped like hands...
We all have biosensors by default now, so my old friend "Rockets will save me when I forgot to use a head with a biosensor!" being missing is sorta understandable.
Not really, close but not the same, the linear rifles have a charge up you can do.
In the past there were things like Parrying Blades, think Pile Bunker but in the right hand. There were also a number of unique and fun weapons that were arms themselves, like the twin blade arm setup.
