I mean, that is literally Chatty, the in universe violent WallE and wheelchair missile bot build.
Mind Beta are the third reverse-joint legs you get, and there are only three. Kasuar, spring chicken, mind beta.
The Nachtreiher, as is consistent with bipedal legs, has a higher load limit than Kasuar despite being significantly lighter.
I know right!? They don't even look that bad, it just drives me crazy I see them and go "Ah yes, my first reverse leg-wait no."
They DO have the next best thing to reverse leg jump distances, but they are also made of balsa wood.
Also, they litterally have reversed joints.
And one of the best too.
So edgy looking, like a wolf outta hell.
The description also literally calls them BIPEDAL. But I can understand caring more about the stats screen.
""Lightweight bipedal leg parts developed by Schneider. Schneider is a specialist in aerodynamic research, and this model reflects their experience with a light and highly agile build.""
That said I am garbage at remembering part names without stopping to look them up. which is why I was referring to them by traits rather than name up above as "The lightest bipeds.".. But I think they might actually weigh slightly more than the extra flag legs with better equip load because ???
The fact the whole joke/issue is "The bipeds that trick you into thinking they were reverse legs at first" being TRUE for more than just me, adds to it.
They don't even look bad! It just bothers me that this is literally a "problem" which I am thankful is not a me only issue.
Conversely the Kasuar has 386 jump distance, and the actual reverse-joint jump animation, as well as the reverse-joint boost kick animation. My sincere condolences, but no.
Kasuar: "Lightweight reverse-joint legs developed by Schneider."
Nachtreiher: "Lightweight bipedal leg parts developed by Schneider."
They even have the same manufacturer. The Nachtreiher has a higher load limit because it is a bipedal leg part, and the Kasuar, while being heavier, has a lower weight limit, as is typical of all reverse-joint legs in comparison with their biped equivalents.
But to put it all to bed, just look above the name of the part. It will say Bipedal or Reverse Joint in plain english on the assembly menu.
This universe is taking AI kinda easy, I kinda wonder who else is also AI, or all of them?
Yeah, I was messing around with them and you're right, the weight balance, animation and the kick are definitely bipedal.
It's so weird tho, guess they were going for something in-between?
I think it was just one of the most distinctive ways to indicate "very light weight," and it does look pretty good. Not a lot of good ways to make mid-size bipedal legs visibly lighter without just looking stupid or anorexic other than making them look like bug legs.
