In my opinion of course. Most of my experience is in AC4.
It will be interesting to see how this plays with keyboard and mouse.
the speed of the AC, as it moves, are summed (in Armored Core For Answer).
So, let's say the speed of the missile is '10', and your AC is standing still: the missile gets launched, and moves with speed '10'.
Now, let's say your AC is moving with speed '1000': if you launch the missile while your AC is moving with speed '1000', then the missile's speed will be '1010'.
What I'm getting at is: big, powerful, slow missile launched while the AC overboosts toward enemy equals... nearly impossible to dodge big boom, in the face of the opposing AC.
Assault armor was also used, in ACFA pvp.
