Arxan anti cheat

So i don’t buy games which have denuvo so i would like to know what arxan anti cheat is.
Does it make online checks like denuvo?
Does this game only have an anti cheat drm?

Arxan is the DRM, EAC is the anti-cheat.

Anticheat bloatware is always on the table in some form when it comes to pvp (gotta protect those tryhards in case it becomes the next esport). But unfortunately it's frustratingly in the way when just trying to play singleplayer.

Arxan is a DRM and Denuvo's main competitor. It's been used in Red Dead Redemption 2. They use a similar modus operandi to Denuvo, minus the online checks afaik.

in the past they have been multiplayer for their armored core series, i played it myself actually! It could be that multiplayer will be added later (maybe) i'd rather not think it's cause they're acting scummy and micro-managing the player's OWNED and BOUGHT game which doesn't affect other players.

I've followed these boards for a few weeks now and it's a recurring thread, yet zero communication from Bamco or FromSoft...

Unfortunately no. Only thing I know is that Bamco's seemed as surprised as me to find they were using a third party DRM. They did mention that Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First sin and Elden Ring may have been using Arxan undisclosed.

After a rather long internal investigation they finally informed me they couldn't provide more information that what they already gave me. I do believe they actually investigated internally because - to my surprise - they did not just dismiss my request and kept me updated monthly for about four months that my request was still alive and ongoing without me having to contact them again.

Btw just a side note you don't own the game even if you buy the game you have a licence to the game and they can do whatever they wish with said license such as revoking it from someone fun stuff uknow.

Also PVP is already implemented into the game on launch

thats how they want to program all gamers to think, but its not the way it has to be, if people stopped brown nosing and shilling for these anticonsumer practices and held them accountable we'd see less of it. however too many people dont care or even know and rightfully assume they own what they paid for

Most people that play fromsoft games break some form of eula then complain afterwards such as 1. Mods 2. Trainers 3. Bugs and exploits

with how scummy the gaming industry has gotten if they dont self correct why shouldnt they be required to label like the tobacco industry; all their products, ads or pictures have to say if you buy this you wont own it? it shouldnt be buried in an ever changing ever growing oddessy that is in no way "legally binding" especially when most of the supposed " binding consent" comes from clicking a button; on top of which a huge % of those people "consenting" are minors. on that topic, with all the censorship in games in the name of children why not just require ID to play? why not just go full commy, why stop half way?
