TWO whole DRM layers.
Easy anti cheat I can understand, but what the hell is Arxan thing?
At least Denuvo is something I have personal experience with, playing Nier Automata and New Gundam Breaker before.
Anyone played games with Arxan before? How was it?

I was wondering about that too. Seems like Arxan has been used in a mix of Rockstar's games since GTA V and Microsoft titles since the 2016. Seeing as all these games have been bypassed already nor having any noteworthy issues compared to Denuvo's history, it hopefully shouldn't be any issue.

Eh fair enough.
I mean publisher is Bandai Namco, they already used Denuvo before.
I wonder why use Arxan thing instead, if they really want to protect the game.
Not to mention Elden Ring had EAC ONLY.

Was wondering about that too. I haven't played many of those games but from what we see with GTA and RDR, doesn't sound like it's too good.

Thing is, RDR2 took so long to bypass due to Rockstar's new Social Club Client they implemented for the first time + them deciding to validate people's installs with an online check every time the game booted up so you HAD to be online for that. Doesn't seem like Arxan was responsible for that component. Guess we'll see how it is on launch. Given a lot of CoD games (before MW 2019 introduced "always online 24/7" even for single player) used it and people never seemed to have issues with bypassing Arxan for those, I'm not too concerned.

So Arxan doesn't have a reputation of functionally protecting games.
Why the hell did they even bother with it I wonder.

I hope it wont be one of thse DRM which lower performance and cause other problems for legal users while pirates have game cracked anyway and working better than "protected" product.

Arxan is actual anti-tamper as opposed to Denuvo Anti-Tamper, which is DRM no matter what they call it. Arxan doesn't require anything to phone home, and the game isn't a glorified rental that's tied to a server the way it is when Denuvo is involved.

I guess that I'll be waiting for a 50% discount then.
Its pretty much the same as Denuvo, just much less popular. Mostly present in Age of Empires remakes. Citing PCGamingWiki:

"Used to strengthen the account-based DRM (e.g. Microsoft Store, Origin, Steam, or Uplay) of a game, considered an alternative to Denuvo Anti-Tamper and with similar functionality."

It might be the same as Denuvo as an anti-tamper solution, but it's definitely less of a DRM barrier than Denuvo is.

You can simply delete the EAC files if you play offline, with no issues.

Depends on game. There are actually two versions of EAC - one is kernel-level anti-cheat solution and another is part of Epic Online Services (EOS) as free service. Since game is not out yet, its all guessing. Some games do allow to simply delete related filed as you described.

How so? Please explain.
