YAR be the Mobius Crew!
Yeah, AC4 was cool.
It's the better game overall,
But the worse armored core.
If that makes any sense...
The game is about as well balanced as 2 was (which is to say, not very well), but I hate 2 and 4 so it's probably better to hear someone else's opinion if you like those two.
S Tier: Last Raven, 4Answer, Silent Line, Another Age
A Tier: Nine Breaker, Master of Arena, AC3, AC1, AC4
B Tier: Nexus, AC2, Project Phantasma
C Tier: Formula Front, VDay
D Tier: ACV
In some parts better, in others worse.
Armored Core 4 and For Answer had you pilot NEXTs (literal next generation ACs following the National Dismantlement War). In both those games you take out "Normals", or traditional ACs, instead of MTs. Larger mechs, larger arsenals, and faster speeds.
Armored Core 6 is good but some parts are definitely lacking and feel they could have been expanded on more. The idea of a shoulder weapon bay to swap weapons out of hands is nice, but it shouldn't have fully replaced things like shoulder mounted miniguns or shotguns (although I've noticed energy weapons still got a decent selection of shoulder weapons to pick from, kinetic shoulder weaponry is severely lacking IMO)
AC4 total head parts = 11
AC6 total head parts = 22
AC4 total core parts = 6
AC6 total core parts = 16
AC4 total arm parts = 10 (14 with weapon arms)
AC6 total arm parts = 18
AC4 total gun arm weapons = 32
AC6 total gun arm weapons = 45
AC4 total blade/melee arm weapons = 5
AC6 total blade/melee arm weapons = 13
AC4 total back weapons (gun/cannon) = 13
AC6 total back weapons (gun/cannon) = 15
AC4 total back weapons (missile) = 16
AC6 total back weapons (missile) = 23
Edit: there was also only 2 "kinetic" shoulder weapons in AC4, chainguns and slug guns didn't get added till 4Answer.
I'll be definitly glad if they go on with the franchise.
Its multiplayer is meh though (imho, it's lacking some playing modes other than duels and tdm. For instance, a battle royale, scavenging mech parts on the map and opponents then rebuild during the game could have been very very cool).
Local / split screen multiplayer was great on PS1, I liked it a lot in the 2000's.
