"AC" Stands for "Armored Core" Right?
It's how the mech we are piloting is called, so title "Armored Core" Is referencing to Mech we play as?

Yes, in universe the machines are called Armored Cores, or AC for short.

Oh, so this means that the core they have is armored?

If memory serves, they initially started with the base MT, and then as they piled on heavier armor and weaponry, the MT was seen as a "Core" that then got "Armored" hence the nomenclature.

It means "Assassin's Creed"

I seen from fanarts that 621 is actually human inside mech, like he would actually connected to it because his body is damaged

You misspelled "Ace Combat"

Yeah, 621 is a "strengthened human" (強化人間, read as "kyouka ningen") piloting the AC. Not all AC pilots are this though.

Is it true though? For AC6 specifically.

Vesper 1 at least isn't a kyouka ningen, if you read his description in the Arena.

Do I need to play previous games to know more about 621, Walter or Arya?

No, AC6 is a completely standalone universe apparently.

No. None of the Armored Core games have strong storylines, and AC VI is its own storyline. 621, Walter, Ayre are all new characters.

Original "robot" technology of that world was MT stands for muscle trace.
AC are more advanced version of that, instead of pre made robot they consist of armored core part where pilot, generator and most of electronics are placed that has multiple univeral conectors, allowing to to quickly be reconfigured for specific tasks. Hence name Armored Core.
While ACs are not inherently superior to other types of robots what makes em especial is versitility (in universe part replacement time is barely longer then what you spend in menus), that is why they are so popular among mercenaries.

No it’s basically the same as Final Fantasy where each numbered entry is a standalone story with shared elements. There are similarly spin-off games tied to each numbered entry.
