How do you beat missile boats?
In 1v1 PvP, you see your opponent has loaded up a missile boat AC. You can bring any AC you want to counter it. What do you bring and how do you use it to crush that missile boat using scum back into the ground where he belongs?

in 1v1 you just equip high DPS close range weapons then AB into them
works everytime

in 3v3 tough luck lol

You bring another missile boat and outplay it instead of countering it.
That's what I do. "There can only be one," methodology.

You rush them fast and destroy them, a missile speed tank however....

Those builds are a pain to fight because they are really fast

Melee oriented Schneider frame with pulse shield OS augment, can easily dodge the missiles and the pulse shield will significantly reduce any explosive hit you take.

I have never gotten that to work for me. Those floating ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are too slippery.

Maybe utilize the Coral rifles? I mean they don't have falloff over distance so you might be able to leverage that.

...I seriously kind of miss having shoulder flares though.

Older AC games had built-in counters to this because the legs hard-capped your turn speed and missile lock time meant you had time to dodge around your opponent to break their lock. This game is much diminished from the older games, so just rushing them with a sword and shotgun/smg + some heavy hitting shoulders would probably be the way to go. If you can stay on top of them, the missile tracking won't be very efficient at actually hitting you due to the trajectory arc.

How the heck do you stay on top of them while they float endlessly in the sky though?

the boat only has like 200 boost speed, you can easily catch up to it by AB unless your generator is like 2000 EN (not enough) and your booster 6000 AB boost (too slow)

if they're endlessly floating then their EN capacity will be low, you can AB into them ez
if they're using coral genetors then take notice when they're descending, then AB into them because descending means they've just exhausted their EN and now is waiting for coral regen to kick in.

But when you get to them they just ass boost away and you are out of energy from the travel to get there.

Don't AB directly into them from afar. AB to get closer on ground, wait for your EN to be full then AB into them.
if they have more EN to boost away from you than you have EN to catch them up, then you're doing it wrong

Say you're on an open map like dunes without much cover. After the first AB when you stop to rest you take a hail of missile fire and get stunned. Now you are already behind and you haven't even reached them yet. What do you do about this?

when you're AB'ing you rarely take missile shots (they don't track much)
you will never get stunned by missiles if you AB

when you're resting after initial AB you've already closed the distance, you will not be stunned.
